Expertise summary

Doug’s clinical expertise is in ENT conditions in adults and children, particularly hearing and balance disorders, chronic ear disease and cholesteatoma. He is a specialist in ear surgery, including mastoidectomy, bone-anchored hearing aids and cochlear implants. His research uses neuroimaging (functional near-infrared spectroscopy & fMRI) to study the effects of hearing loss and cochlear implantation on the developing and adult brain.
