Research Audiologist (Clinical Research Network: East Midlands)

Biography

Krysta is employed by the Clinical Research Network (CRN) East Midlands as a Research Audiologist to provide support on portfolio adopted studies.  The main focus of her role is to recruit participants into ENT and Audiology resreach studies, to collect study data from participants and to contribute to the day to day running of clinical trials in the CRN portfolio under the guidance of the relevant Chief Investigator or the Principal Investigator.

Krysta studied at St. Joseph’s College in New York graduating with a first class BSc (Hons) degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology in 2014. Following the competition of her undergraduate degree, she went on to receive my MSc degree in Audiological Science with Clinical Practice from UCL in 2016.

Expertise summary

During her master’s degree, she gained experience in qualitative research from conducting her dissertation in gap junction communication during inner ear development. Additionally, she has clinical expertise in both adult and paediatric audiology during her one year placement at Southend University Hospital.
