British Society of Audiology prizes
Dr Mel Ferguson has been awarded two prizes from the British Society of Audiology: the 2017 Denzil Brooks Trophy for promoting excellence in audiological practice, recognising her leadership of the Society’s Adult Rehabilitation Interest Group, the C2Hear project and lead authorship of the recent Cochrane Review of benefits of hearing aids for mild-moderate hearing loss; and the Jos Millar prize from the Audacity magazine editors for her article, authored with Dr David Maidment, entitled: “Q&A: C2Hear – helping first-time hearing aid users to help themselves”.
